The Bell Inn

Sat at the lower heart of  Winsham, The Bell is located opposite the church and village primary school. The Bell is the last remaining pub in Winsham. The village was originally comprised of four different pub’s and inn’s. Over the past two centurys the numbers slowly dwindle leaving The Bell Inn.

The village is on the southern border of Somerset, approximately 0.4 miles (0.64 km) from the Dorset border, which is marked by the River Axe.

About The Bell Inn //

Both the village Pub, ’The Bell’, and the village run general store and Post Office have been in continuous business since at least 1850. Also in the centre of the village is the village hall, a gift to the village from Lord Bridport in 1887 to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria. It is known as the Jubilee Hall. Just a few doors up from where the pub is located.

Locally inclined

Here at The Bell, we source all of our ingredients locally and always feature local Ales.

Fresh Ingredients

From farm to table, we source many of our ingredients from our own family run farm and support local suppliers so the produce is as fresh as it can be.

a hearty meal

All food is prepared and coocked on sight.  Hearty home cooked food made the proper way.
